Welcome to the US 281 Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) Web Pages
Thank you for visiting! Here you’ll find information on upcoming events and resource documents related to the US 281 EIS. Most importantly, you’ll find information on how you can get involved in the EIS process.
We know it seems like planning, discussions and environmental assessments for US 281 have been ongoing and now another environmental study has just started. Well, the federal government requires that an EIS must be completed before transportation capacity can be added to US 281. The good news is this process to assess the potential social, economic and environmental impact of improvements along the corridor is currently underway…but we need your help.
We need you to share your ideas for how best to improve mobility along this stretch of US 281. Every idea and option, whether previously proposed or brand new, is open for discussion. Please visit “Understanding an EIS” on this web page to learn how you can get involved in the EIS process.
